Face Recognition

Designed to detect and compare faces captured in video streams, Face Recognition requires compatible camera and NVR models. For compatibility details, please review the specific camera and NVR product pages.

Basic Facial Detection

Pairing Face Recognition recorders with face detection cameras enables basic facial detection, capturing and storing snapshots of every detected individual. Users can review these images through a general snapshot search, where selecting a face displays an accompanying brief video clip. Note that this search mode does not support facial comparison or tracking a specific individual across multiple snapshots.

Face Database & Profiles

Building a face database enables tracking and matching specific individuals across all stored camera snapshots. Users can also log profile details for each record, including name, gender, date of birth, location, and official identification numbers.

Database Search & Similarity

Searching for an individual within the database allows users to customize similarity thresholds to verify target matches. Users can perform queries across every camera simultaneously while defining a specific time frame.

Trigger Actions

Setting up face detection on a camera enables standard trigger actions. These supported response options include Push Alarm (mobile notifications), Buzzer (NVR internal beeper), Send Email, Alarm Lights (camera-based where available), Alarm Sounds (camera or IP speaker based where available), Snapshot, Record, PTZ Preset Activation, and External Alarm Outputs.
