Video recorder is noisy

A noisy video recorder usually indicates a faulty or damaged mainboard or case fan.  Open the chassis cover of the unit and inspect where the noise is coming from.  If a fan is the culprit, and the fan is accessible, try adjusting it by stopping the fan and applying a light amount of force to the top of the fan wheel.  Use caution; do not try to pry the fan as the blades are quite fragile.  If any cables are touching the fan, adjust the cable so that it does not make contact with the fan blades.

If adjusting the fan does not correct the issue, send the unit in for a repair RMA.

If the noise is coming from the internal power supply, please request a return/replacement RMA.
